Engage · What We Offer

Cognitive Stimulation & CST

Keep the mind engaged through meaningful cognitive and social activity — woven into everyday support.

Evidence-informed engagement

Cognitive engagement as part of living well.

WellKind incorporates evidence-informed cognitive stimulation and meaningful cognitive engagement into everyday support.

This can include conversation, reminiscence, problem solving, games, music, reading, discussion, familiar activities, creative activities and everyday cognitive challenges.

The broader WellKind model uses cognitive engagement as part of everyday meaningful support — not as isolated “brain training.”

Structured CST and general cognitive engagement

These are related — but not the same.

Structured Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST)

CST is a structured approach involving meaningful cognitive and social activities for people living with dementia. Where appropriately trained and qualified practitioners are involved, WellKind may offer or support access to CST.

CST is not a cure for dementia. It does not stop or reverse dementia. Not every WellKind worker is qualified to independently deliver CST.

General cognitive engagement

Dementia Engagement Workers can help keep the mind active through conversation, familiar hobbies, music, reading, reminiscence and everyday challenges that matter to the individual.

This is meaningful engagement — not busywork, and not a clinical claim of disease modification.
