When should I seek additional support?

Signs it may be time to bring in more help for the person living with dementia and the family around them.

Seek additional support if daily life is becoming unsafe, carers are exhausted, behaviour changes are difficult to manage, or the person living with dementia is becoming isolated.

Changes in sleep, nutrition, mobility, mood or personal care can also signal that more help is needed.

Support can include coaching, respite, meaningful activities, community connection, allied health input or a conversation with your GP.

You do not need a crisis to reach out. Early support often makes the journey more manageable.
